Rafting Preparation

Join us one day before your adventure begins at 5:00 PM for a pre-departure meeting at the Altitude Adventures (A2) office. This meeting is crucial as it allows you to meet our team, including the Trip Leader, Guides, and trip staff, and familiarize yourself with fellow guests. We’ll complete official formalities, discuss the trip itinerary, timetable, and other logistics essential for a successful adventure.

Rafting Equipment and Services

We provide top-quality equipment to ensure your safety and comfort throughout the journey. Expect the best, including self-bailing rafts, whitewater safety helmets, modern plastic paddles, neoprene wetsuits, PFD life jackets, dry top splash jackets, waterproof containers or barrels for cameras and valuables, dry bags for personal items, a comprehensive first-aid kit, tents or mass fly sheets, sleeping mats, cooking utensils, and hygienically prepared food and drinks.

Things You Need to Bring

For river activities, bring shorts or half pants, long-sleeved T-shirts for sun protection, swimwear, a sun cap, sunglasses, sunscreen, a personal water bottle, and river sandals. For the campsite, pack a personal sleeping bag, lightweight shirts and trousers, underwear, socks, a towel, lightweight shoes, a fleece jacket, a flashlight, personal toiletries, a camera, reading and writing materials, and any medication recommended by your private doctor. You can store other non-essential items at your hotel or in our office storage room.

Safety Precautions

At Altitude Adventures (A2), safety is our top priority. Our team undergoes rigorous training, including AR/CPR, Wilderness First Aid, and Whitewater Rescue Technician courses conducted by Rescue 3 International. Additionally, we provide expert rescue kayakers on every rafting trip to ensure your journey with us is not only comfortable but also safe and enjoyable.

1 Night 2 Days Seti Khola Rafting Adventure

Day 01:

  • Early Departure: Embark on an early morning drive to the put-in point, a journey of 2.5 hours from Pokhara or 5 hours from Kathmandu.
  • Preparation: Unload rafting gear and lend a hand with the process. Change into appropriate attire and secure belongings in dry packs.
  • Raft Setup: Load gear onto the raft and other essentials onto the cargo raft. Receive a safety briefing, learn rafting techniques, and get acquainted with the equipment.
  • Commence Adventure: Begin the exhilarating rafting journey, pausing for a scenic lunch along the way. Wrap up the day’s adventure by 3-4 PM.
  • Camp Setup: Assist in setting up the campsite. After changing clothes, enjoy a refreshing cup of tea, coffee, or hot chocolate.
  • Evening: Engage in dinner preparations, followed by relaxing conversations or unwinding for the night.

Day 02:

  • Morning: Wake up to the tranquility of nature and enjoy a refreshing beverage.
  • Preparation: Pack gear and indulge in a hearty breakfast to fuel the day’s activities.
  • Camp Cleanup: Break down camp and ensure the site is left pristine. Load gear onto the raft and cargo raft.
  • Safety Briefing: Receive a final safety talk and orientation before embarking on the day’s rafting adventure.
  • Continue Rafting: Set out for another thrilling rafting session, culminating by noon with a satisfying lunch break.
  • Conclusion: Change into dry clothes, load gear, and either return to Pokhara/Kathmandu or proceed with onward plans.
